Mike was born July 15, 1942 in Herrin, IL to Oren and Betty Lou (Erwin) Stroud. He married Delores Ann Jordan; she preceded him in death on July 30, 2021.
Also surviving are their two sons, Troy (Susan) Stroud of Leesburg, FL and Scott (Shae) Stroud of Millstadt, IL; grandchildren, Mindy (Joe) Stroud-Bauman, Morgan (Ryan) Stroud-Halstead and Tyler Stroud; great-grandchildren, Lillyana, Alexandra, Raegan, Nolan and Ryder; and several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delores; and his parents, Oren and Betty Lou Stroud.
For many years, Mike was a devoted employee with E-ONE Emergency Vehicles and Rescue Trucks in Ocala, FL. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying his time in the great outdoors. He also enjoyed bowling. Mike was an Electra Volunteer Firefighter in Ocklawaha, FL.
Memorial donation may be made to Ted and Diane Brandley House, the hospice home which provided such love and care for both Mike and Delores during their time there. Donations may be sent directly to 17395 SE 109th Terrace Rd, Summerfield, FL 34491.
VISITATION: A visitation for Mike will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.
SERVICE: A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation, at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
