Judith Ann Deffenbaugh

Judith attended high school in Belleville, IL, and later married the late William Eversole. Judy was a homemaker and mother to her two beautiful daughters. On January 1, 1990, she married Kenneth Deffenbaugh and together with God’s grace they raised their beautiful, blended family.

Judy was a member of Redemption Church in Barnhart, MO and FireNest in St. Louis, MO. Judy was an ordained minister. She loved the Lord and was very active in the church. Over the years she taught Sunday school, led the Women’s Ministry, and served on the church council.

Judy was an avid gardener and grew an array of flowers, plants and vegetables. She was constantly reading and studying scriptural books and passages. She loved to cook, enjoyed sewing and quilting and was an animal lover. Her favorite joy was spending time with her family.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Lorell Beckner; late husband, William Eversole; brother, Gary Beckner; grandson, Jamie Hadley Jones.

She is survived by her loving husband Kenneth Deffenbaugh; sons, Mark (Laura) Deffenbaugh, Tim Deffenbaugh, Matt (Rose) Deffenbaugh; daughters, Lisa (Scott) Chasin, Tammy (Bob) Kaufmann, Laura (Matt) Hoffman, Rebecca (Ronald) Mueller; eighteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Dunnigan; sister, Donna (Chuck) Smith; many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, friends as well as her beloved fur baby Sophie.

Judy was loved by many and will be deeply missed!

Visitation will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N Illinois St, Fairview Heights, IL 62208, followed by a Celebration of Life from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM. Interment to follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens.
