Judy J. Denning, nee Payne, 74, of Smithton, Illinois, born February 19, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away, Sunday, August 11, 2019 in O’Fallon, Illinois.

Judy was a member of Greenmount Road Church of Christ in Belleville, Illinois. She worked for Famous Barr for 30 years and in later years, devoted much of her time to helping others and worked as a manager with Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Margaret, nee Watkins, Payne; her son, Mark Allen Denning; and her two siblings, Joseph Watkins and Deborah Payne.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Christopher (Angie) Denning, of Swansea, Illinois and Judy (Patric) Lucash, of Freeburg, Illinois; her grandchildren, Matthew Wheeler, Ryan (Amanda) Denning, Tiffany Denning, Kaylee Steen, Ashley Denning, Joseph Lucash, Alyvia Lucash, and Eric Lucash; her great grandchildren, Shane, Annabelle, Brynlee, Savannah, Scarlet, Dominic, Harlee, Mason, Reagon, Silias, Paisley, Ellie, and Brody; two siblings, Diane (Dennis) Smith, of Fenton, Missouri and Mike (Linda) Ford, of Arnold, Missouri; two daughters-in-law, Leanne Howard and Rhonda Steen; her lovable dog, Sweetie; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Per Judy’s wishes cremation was to be held and all services will be held privately with Lake View Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
