

Julia J. Hartman, nee Green, 91, of Olathe, Kansas, born December 10, 1922, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away, Friday, September 19, 2014, in Olathe, Kansas, after being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, in June, 2014.
Mrs. Hartman graduated from East St. Louis High School. She married Fred E. Hartman, August 15, 1942, in Union, Missouri; they were married for 67 blessed years, before he passed away in 2009. She retired from US Civil Service in July 1982, after 30 years of service. Soon after retiring, she spent her years with Fred at their homes in Linn Creek, Missouri and in Clewiston, Florida. Together, they enjoyed spending their time fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks and Lake Okeechobee. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred E. Hartman; and her parents, Ralph and Ida Mae, nee Childers, Green.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Nancy (Emanuel) Rashet, of Cornelius, North Carolina and Janice (John) Miller, of Lenexa, Kansas; grandchildren, Kelly Hickey, Susan Brechnitz, David Rashet, Lisa Whitehead, Amanda Miller, and Blake Miller; her great grandchildren, Tom and Will Hickey; Greta, Mimi, and Larson, Brechnitz; Lindsey and Lauren Whitehead; and Hannah and Alyssa Rashet.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Hospice of Olathe Medical Center, at 20333 W. 151st Street; Suite 301; Olathe, Kansas 66061.
Visitation: Friends and relatives may call from Noon to 2 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Funeral: Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Doug Stewart officiating. Interment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
