

Kenneth was a long time member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Fairview Heights. He had many interests and hobbies including fishing, boating, golfing, carpentry, and woodworking and he loved making paper airplanes and yard silhouettes. Kenneth was part owner of the National Livestock Commission Co. for over 50 years. Through his involvement in the livestock industry, he gave the morning livestock market report on KMOX radio for many years. Kenneth was also a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Philippines during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barrett R. and Elva May, nee Wyscaver, Uhles and one brother and one sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ethel, nee Bergman, Uhles; two sons, Ray (Joyce) Uhles of St. Charles, MO, and Kent (Jane) Uhles of Okawville, IL; two daughters, Carol Kelso of Swansea, IL, and Linda (Doug) Dawson of Caseyville, IL; seven grandchildren, David (Jenny) Uhles, Breck Johnston, Chris Kelso, Ann (Josey) Baker, Echo Connor, Zachary Wuebbels, and Luke Uhles; nine great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Funeral service will held on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Lake View Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Nolan officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
