Kevin Erick Finley, age 36, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026. He was born on September 23, 1989, to John Leroy Finley and Linda Evelyn (May) Finley. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Kevin is survived by his siblings: Carrie (Finley) Rogers; Michael Finley (Laurie Finley); and Jason Finley (Terrence Chan). He is also survived by his nieces and a nephew (Gabriella Rogers, Timothy Rogers, and Rebekah Finley), as well as a great many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Kevin was a graduate of Veritas Christian Academy (formerly Christian High School) in O’Fallon, Missouri, and the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
During his middle school and high school years, Kevin developed his musical talent through the study of piano and cello. His brother, Jason, has fond memories of attending weekly piano lessons and occasional recitals together with Kevin and their mother, Linda. Kevin also spent many happy hours bonding with his siblings over board games and video games. Throughout his life, he maintained a love of instrumental, electronic, and techno music. Kevin also enjoyed target practice and fishing with relatives.
Kevin worked in a variety of occupations, but the roles he valued most were those that allowed him to help others. During his time as a medical aide at Garden Villas, he was recognized as Employee of the Month for his outstanding patient care and dedication. In later years, when his parents’ health began to decline, Kevin took on an important role of helping care for them. He accepted this role with quiet strength, humility, and devotion.
Kevin could be strong-willed, but he was also deeply kind and tender-hearted. He was fiercely devoted to his family and was often the first to check in on friends and loved ones during difficult times. Among his greatest joys were the cats he cared for over the years, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Though Kevin’s life ended far too soon, his kindness, loyalty, and love for those around him will be remembered always.
