Laverne “Sandy” Malin (nee Sanders), 88, born in Venedy, IL on June 10, 1926 passed away on June 11, 2014 in Belleville, IL. Ms. Malin lived a very full life and truly filled every minute of it. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Ms. Malin is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Rosa (nee Jasper) Sanders; her husband, Al Malin; and two sisters, Verdella Sanders (in infancy) and Orleen Graves.
She is survived by her son, Chris Cotter; daughter, Sandy Schroeder; grandchildren, Jill Schroeder, Michael Cotter, Stephen Cotter, Christopher Cotter, and Jayson Cotter; great grandchild, Sean Cotter; a niece, Carol Nester; and a great nephew, Jeff Nester.
Friends may call on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 2-3 p.m. at Lake View Funeral Home with a service at 3 p.m. Interment is private.
