

Leo proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker’s Local 1455 and retired in December of 1995. He was a hardworking, family man, who loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved fishing and woodworking; making a variety of furnishings and children’s toys. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre and Eunice, nee Wiscombe, Hagelstein and a brother.
Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Tina Hagelstein, nee Gilbert; his four children, 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three siblings; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Monsignor McGhee will hold a Rosary service held at 4 p.m., during the visitation.
Funeral: Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the funeral home with Monsignor William McGhee officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
