Leta F. Chapman

Leta was a lifetime member of the Sterling Baptist Church. She was also a switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell, a real estate agent, and an entrepreneur.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Laura, nee Conover, Alford; husband, James Madison Chapman; brothers, William Alford; Lyle Alford; sisters, Ruby Schmid; and Lucille Little.

Surviving are her children, Kirk (Karen) Chapman of Collinsville, Illinois; Anna (Phillip) Metzger, nee Chapman of Hazelwood, Missouri; grandchildren, Cory Chapman and Jordan Chapman of Collinsville, Illinois; brother, Wilburn Alford of Hamel, Illinois; sisters, Nellie Brayton of Qulin, Missouri; Velma Lolley of Lebanon, Missouri; Anna Ruth Prenzel of Belleville, Illinois; and Wilma Cochran of Bowling Green, Kentucky as well as many other family, friends and relatives.

Interment: Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
