Lonnie Eugene Hunter

Mr. Hunter was retired from Merit Company in St. Louis, Missouri after 35 years of service as a machinist. Lonnie was a loving compassionate husband, father, and grandfather who was very skilled with his hands and had a great mechanical understanding of the world around him, and loved to tinker with anything he could get his hands on.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Mary, nee Pinkston, Hunter, and a brother, Jerry Hunter.

Surviving is his loving wife, Ruth Hunter, Williamson, a son, Eugene Hunter of Caseyville, Illinois, two daughters; Kimberly Hunter and Pamela Hunter both of Belleville, Illinois, three grandchildren, Amanda Hunter, Gabby Vargas, Joseph Hunter-Schultz, a sister, Alice O’Brien of Belleville, Illinois, two brothers, Joe (Joyce) of Huston, Texas and Albert (Tammy) Hunter of Dupo, Illinois, as well many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
