

Mr. Johnson proudly served his country, in the United States Army. He loved to fish, go boating, and watch football, especially his 49ers. He enjoyed playing scrabble and the Wii; and working on cars. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be truly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Pauline, nee Puckett, Johnson; and by brothers and sisters.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife, of 38 years, Kathleen Johnson, nee Mills, of Du Quoin, Ill.; his children, Kerri (Jimmie) Sizemore, of Du Quoin, Ill., Tonya Johnson, of Marion, Illinois, and Angie (Danny) Heavrin-Harper, of Du Quoin, Ill.; his grandchildren, Shelby and Mackenzie Sizemore, Shi-Anne and Saylor Lappin, Christopher Heavrin, and Leum Harper; a brother, Larry (Lelia) Jones, St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Della (David) Schanuel, of Caseyville, Ill. and Lena (Ted) Davis, of St. Louis, Missouri; his mother-in-law, Joe-Anne Brinkmeyer; a sister-in-law, Judi (Paul) Sukowicz; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
