Margaret Grace Cresswell

Margaret was born November 14, 1932 in Scheller, IL to Herbert and Mabel (Wever) Wright. She married Orville “Neil” Cresswell on May 10, 1952; he preceded her in death in December of 2010.

Margaret was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Cresswell May and siblings, Virgil Wright, Joseph Wright, Willard Wright, Robert Wright, Katherine Laur and Helen Wright.

She is survived by her loving children, David (Pamela) Cresswell of Hondo, TX, Dale (Rhonda) Cresswell of Millstadt, IL and Peggy (Rick) Cresswell Masterson of O’Fallon, IL; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brandon, Kyle, Kelli, Jessica, Michael, Mariah, Aubrey and Keegan; and many beloved great-grandchildren.

After high school, Margaret attended secretarial school and later worked as a manager and clerk at the local Economart. She was well into her 70s when she worked for Dollar General in O’Fallon, IL. She was devoted to her work and enjoyed the friendships she made along the way.

She and Orville were snowbirds who enjoyed the sunshine of Florida for many years, making countless memories together.

Margaret loved to quilt, paint, embroider, play cards, do puzzles and play games with her family and friends. She loved her family dearly and although her loss leaves a painful void, her legacy will carry on in their hearts forever.

Memorial donations may be made to VITAS Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.

VISITATION: A visitation for Margaret will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 10:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
