Margaret M Erb

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Samuel and Theresia (Peters) Mathews, brothers, Joseph L. Mathews, Cletus Mathews, John L. Mathews, Eugene Mathews, Anthony Mathews, and sisters, Loretta Grace (Sister Mary Anthony), Mary Rubenacker, Lilian Hettenhausen, and Teresa Wilson.

Margaret is survived by her brother Joseph (Judy) Mathews and sister Mary (Babe) Mathews both of Freeburg, Illinois, and her son, Ron (Millie) Erb of O’Fallon, Illinois, Mickie Erb of Oromond by the Sea, Florida, and Barbara (Mark) Lehr of O'Fallon, Illinois. Margaret's grand children are Shiloh Erb, Chelsea (Brandon) Wood, Veronica (Tony Pitale) Erb of St. Louis, and Dylan (Nicole) Erb of San Jose, California. She has four great grandsons.

She loved people and was the smiling, welcoming face you would see at the Belleville Walmart greeting you as you entered. Prior to being a greeter, Margaret worked for over forty years as a waitress at several Belleville, Illinois, restaurants, including Towne House, (Diamond Lil's), Bel-Air Bowl, Panarama Bowl and Hi-Ho. She enjoyed photography, rock collecting, and creating scrap books.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, all services are private at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
