Marilyn Lee Thuis

Marilyn was born November 21, 1943 in Saint Louis, Mo to Melvin and Virginia (Bierderman) Blair. She married Donald R. Thuis, Sr. in 1978.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, Florence Blair.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Christina (Wrobleski) Pierce, Yvonne (Wrobleski) Hayes, James Wrobleski (Jessica), Donald Thuis Jr (Debra), Lori Gonzalez (Dan), Renee Nier (Bob), Vikki Payne, seventeen grandchildren and 7 Great grandchildren.

Marilyn is remembered for her kindness, hospitality, and love for children, especially her own. For 28 years you could find Marilyn at the Bel-Air Bowl. She enjoyed serving her community and providing a joyful and accepting space. She was extraordinarily kind hearted, and will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A memorial visitation for Marilyn will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 4:00 P.M.- 6:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

A memorial service will be held following the visitation, at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Final resting will be Monday, October 11, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. for family and close friends.
