Mary was born on June 4, 1932, on the family farm in Goodwater, Missouri, to the late Wilbur and Beulah (Huitt) Crocker.
She was the beloved sister of Betty Davis of Independence, Missouri, and Martha (Jim) Morgan of Wylie, Texas. Mary was a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a dear cousin and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Blanche (Brooks) Crocker; her sister, Corrine LaRue; one brother, William “Bill” Crocker; and an infant sister, Cleo Crocker.
Following her graduation from Caledonia High School in 1948, Mary moved to St. Louis, where she worked in various roles, primarily in secretarial positions. She later began a career in Civil Service as a medical records transcriptionist at Veterans Administration hospitals in Columbia, Missouri, and at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis. She subsequently transferred to the Department of Justice, where she worked at the United States Attorney’s Office until her retirement.
A graveside visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Sam Crocker Cemetery in Belleview, Missouri, with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 AM, officiated by Rev. John Canterberry.
