Maud A. Matlock, nee Markert, 98, of Waterloo, Ill., formerly of Dupo, Ill., born Jan. 20. 1912, in Wolf Lake, Ill., died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at Canterbury Manor Nursing Center in Waterloo, Ill.
Mrs. Matlock was retired from Phelps IGA grocery store in Dupo, Ill. She enjoyed quilting, traveling, and doing her puzzle books.
She was precede in death by her husband of 64 years, Ernest Matlock; her parents, Albert and Fannie, nee Sides, Markert; a son, Darryl Matlock; a daughter, Judy Matlock; an infant daughter; a great-granddaughter; four brothers; and three sisters.
Surviving are her son, E. Donald (Beverly Blunt) Matlock of Vandalia, Ill.; a daughter, Bette (Harry) Foster of Waterloo, Ill.; a daughter-in-law, Jeanette Matlock; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral: Upon the family's request, all services are private.
