

Maurice proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, as a Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as civil service with Scott Air Force Base and retired as a supervisor, over base electric in 1985. He enjoyed his grandchildren’s sporting events and doing scroll saw projects. He was a member of the woodworking group, the Belleville Area Holzschnitzers. He enjoyed playing table tennis and watching hummingbirds. He was an active member of the Tri-City Church of Christ, in Central City, Illinois. He was a loving family man, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah J. Reuss and his parents, Edwin R. and Emma M., nee Mueller, Reuss.
Surviving are his loving wife Ruth Reuss, nee Stephens; his children, Wayne (Edna) Reuss, of Imperial, Missouri, Randy (Trudy) Reuss, of Nashville, Illinois, and Peggy (Gordon) Bennett, of Ashley, Illinois; his four grandchildren, Charlie (Leah), Reuss ( Amber), Madison, and Stephen; his seven great grandchildren, Blake, Samantha, Beau, Jackson, Emma, Ian, and Jessa; a brother, Dale D. Reuss, of Waterloo, Illinois; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
