He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Margaret (Jones) Brem, younger brother Kenneth Brem, and Stepson Kenneth Koenig.
Melvin is survived by his wife Julia (Aguero) Brem , son Ron Brem (Peggy), Stepdaughters Jane Andria (Tony) and Wilma Broadwater, Grandchildren Christopher Marsten, Jeff Andria (Kristi) and Julia Andria. Two great granddaughters, Annabelle and Margaret Andria.
Melvin served his country as a Military Policeman while stationed in Germany. After leaving the military he worked in the manufacturing industry.
Anyone who met Melvin knew him as a quiet unassuming man. His favorite treat was anything sweet. He loved his ice cream and candies.
He could repair just about anything broken and he could give the most valuable advice on life whether you wanted to listen or not.
Those of us who are left to treasure his memory have been given a great privilege of knowing this kind, gentle, decent man.
