Mitzi Etling

Mitzi was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She was a good and faithful servant who was very kind, generous; and always extended her love, compassion and care to everyone. Family was always her top priority and her family will always carry her in their hearts.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was a member of Trinity UCC, Belleville, Ill. and a member of Women of the Moose, Lodge 1221, Swansea, Ill., she loved tending to her plants and gardening and was always very spiritual with nature. Mitzi was an avid golfer, swimmer and loved cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert “Bob” W. Etling who died on March 14, 2006; her parents, William & Gertrude, nee Enzman, Schneider; her two brothers, Gerard “Tony” Schneider and Harold Schneider; a sister, Geraldine (Leonard) Playter; a sister-in-law, Lois Etling and a brother-in-law, Warren Bergman.

Surviving are her loving daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Crutcher and Linda (Doug) Rains; Grandchildren, Julie (Josh) Redman, Jessica Rains and Andy Rains; great-grandchildren, Brad & Allen; a sister, Dolores Bergman; a sister-in-law, Dottie Schneider and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Trinity UCC, Belleville, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 2:00 P.M. – 3:30 P.M. on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Trinity UCC, 47 N. Douglas, Belleville, Ill.,

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Trinity UCC, immediately following the visitation.

Inurnment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
