

Morris Dean Finke, 80, of Fairview Heights, passed away at home, Saturday, September 9, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born October 5, 1942 in Nashville, IL to Oscar and Luella (Winfree) Finke. Morris was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He married Brenda Pillar November 29, 1985.
Professionally, Morris excelled in his career in agriculture sales, making a significant impact as the national product manager for Loveland Industries. His dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment earned him the distinguished honor of winning the UAP Salesman of the Year award. Morris's contributions to the industry will be remembered and appreciated for years to come.
Morris had a passion for golf, softball/baseball, and basketball. Whether on the green, diamond, or court, Morris displayed his infectious enthusiasm for the sports he adored. He would never miss a good fishing trip either. He also enjoyed the simple pleasure of savoring a fine cigar and sipping on a glass of smooth bourbon, appreciating life's little luxuries. Morris had a fondness for the classics, whether it was automobiles or music. He especially appreciated the wit and humor of old-time comedians like Don Rickles and Johnny Carson and whose timeless jokes never failed to bring a smile to his face.
His heart overflowed with love for his wife and children, cherishing every moment spent together. His role as a dedicated husband and father was one he fulfilled with unwavering dedication. Morris's character left a mark on all who crossed his path. He brightened the lives of those fortunate enough to know him, leaving a lasting impression. Let us remember him as the loving, honest, hardworking man that he was, as his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him.
Surviving to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Brenda Finke; sons, Jason Wade (Tara) Finke and Jason Robert (Kelly) Finke; grandchildren, Daci, Degyn, Alexander, Samuel and Theodore and two brothers, Oscar “OJ” (Sue) Finke and Richard (Audrey) Finke. Morris was preceded in death by his parents; first spouse, Karen Finke; son, Jarret Lee Finke and his niece, Cheryl Finke.
A private graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 9:00am at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 4:00pm at Stonewolf Golf Clubhouse, 1195 Stonewolf Trail, Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with a celebration of life to follow from 4:30-6:30.
