Muriel E. Kennedy
January 19, 1933 – March 23, 2013
Muriel E. Kennedy, nee Snyder, 80, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, born January 19, 1933 in East St. Louis, Illinois, died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois.
Muriel was a loving, nurturing, and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved animals, especially dogs, and will be missed by her dogs Maggie and Pebbles. She enjoyed gardening and dancing and was Miss East St. Louis in 1950. Muriel was a member of the Lady’s Auxiliary VFW Post 8677 Fairview Heights, Illinois and L.I.F.T.
She was preceded in death in by her husband, Roy W. Kennedy and her parents; Marion and Eunice, nee Miles, Snyders.
Surviving are her children, Kenneth (Theresa “t.e.” Norman) Buckman of Edinburg, Texas, Sherry (Jim) Sharos of Belleville, Illinois, and Stacy (Gus) Sharos of Collinsville, Illinois, two step-daughters; Donna (Larry) Segler of Arlington, Texas and Susan (Richard) Kennedy of St. Louis, Missouri, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a sister, Barb (Jim) Swims of Marine, Illinois, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Funeral: Memorial Services will be held at 7 pm, Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

I enjoyed having lunch with Muriel at her L.I.F.T. meetings, she had a good sense of humor, and she always took along her Avon products to deliver to her customers. They would say, oh, here comes Muriel with my stuff.
