Nita Dorman (nee Smith), 90, of Belleville, IL born on January 6, 1924 in Goreville, IL passed away on February 2, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL with her son by her side. She was an ordained minister of the Divine Life Ministries and enjoyed spreading the word of the Good Lord, and was a member of the VFW Post in Arlington, TX. She had a good attitude on life and was a caring and generous person who loved playing bingo, cards and Scrabble, doing Penny’s Word Seek puzzles, always enjoying a good rib eye steak, watching golf and rooting for Tiger Woods, and watching her favorite St. Louis Cardinals play ball. Nita read her Bible every day.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cullen and Clara (nee Mohler) Smith; two husbands, Richard B. Moore and Garland Dorman; a daughter in infancy; a son, Daniel Joseph Moore (survived by Pat); and six brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her son, Richard (Theresa) Moore of Smithton, IL; grandchildren, Rich A. Moore and Cindy (Dan) Duff of St. Jacob, IL; and great grandchildren, Tyler, Karen, Hailey, and Ashton.
