Norma was born July 11, 1938 in Ava, IL to Shirley J. and Nona Ione (Holiday) Bower. On July 3, 1985, she married Anthony “Hap” Wiscombe; he survives and resides in Millstadt, IL.
She is also survived by her stepchildren, David (Darlene) Wiscombe of Clarksville, TN and Judy (Greg) Rebman of Frederick, IL; step-grandchildren, Tom (Claudia) Strong, Andy (Jessica) Strong, and Kyle (Megan) Strong; and great-step-grandchildren, Alejandro and Christian; siblings, Glenn Bower of Belleville, IL, William (Ruby) Bower of Cory, TN, Mary Jo Reed of Festus/Crystal City, MO; her beloved fury companion, JoJo; and many cousins and extended family.
Norma was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Mitchell; siblings, Wayne D. Bower, Geraldine Pinkerton and Doris McGill; and infant step-grandson, Dustin Anthony Strong.
For 30+ years, Norma worked at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, where she was devoted to both her work and the precious children she cared for. In years past, Norma loved camping and always loved the outdoors. She spent her time tending to her flowers, plants, watching hummingbirds, and going on picnics. Above all else, she loved her family and her beloved husband, Hap. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

VISITATION: A visitation for Norma will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 for 12:00 P.M.-1:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.
SERVICE: A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL
