It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Lindsey, of Collinsville, IL, on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the age of 79. Patricia was born on February 26th, 1945, in Tennessee to Cleitus Lindsey and Marie Blackwell.
Patricia had a love for all and a passion for caring for and helping those she encountered. She fulfilled this passion by working as a medical assistant in Collinsville, IL for over 25 years, where her persistence and dedication saw her becoming the office manager.
Patricia’s passion and caring also spread to animals and she had a tremendous love for and ability to nurture them.
Patricia also had a love of traveling; she especially loved to spend that time traveling with her lifelong friend, Jerri Robbins. They would often travel to visit friends and family.
Patricia will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all that she encountered along her way.
She is preceded in death by her father, Cleitus Lindsey; mother, Marie Blackwell; daughter, Deborah Carol Ray; brothers, John Rodger Lindsey Sr, and Rusty Blackwell; and sister, Katherine Blackwell.
She was married to Gene Ray of Collinsville, IL, and is survived by Mr. Ray; brother, George Blackwell; sister, Shirley Jewell; stepson, Richard Morgan, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service for Patricia will be held Friday, November 15, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208, followed by a committal from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM.
