

Mr. Hauver served in the Army Air Corps as a Staff Sergeant at Scott Air Force Base as an instructor in communications. He was retired from St. Louis Community College at Forest Park as an Associate Professor and Counselor in the Life Sciences Division. Raymond was a Past Elder and Sunday School Teacher at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Past President of the PTA at both Union and West Junior High Schools, and was a lifetime member of The Illinois Congress of Parents and Teachers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Hauver, nee Vistine, his parents; Fred and Ethel Mae, nee Bratton, Thomas, his father, Arthur Hauver, a brother, Roy Hauver, and a sister, Marie Wright.
Surviving are his children; John (Lynn) Hauver of Belleville, Illinois, Paul (Linda) Hauver of Belleville, Illinois, and Cecile (Columbus) Hauver-Smith of Collinsville, Illinois, his grandchildren; John (Amy) Hauver, Kaitlin and Emily Hauver, Timothy (Jamie) Hauver, and Devin Smith, a great grandchild, Addison Hauver, nieces, Gayle Vistine, Angela Hauver, Jeannie Hendrickson, Sharon Whitman, and Iris Gorman, nephews, Greg and Gary Vistine and Wesley Hauver Jr., and a sister-in-law, Rose Marie Huth.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 10am, Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois, with Rev. Marilee Scroggs officiating. Interment will be in Lake View memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
