

Ray was a United States Air Force Veteran. He retired as a maintenance electrician from Hussmann Refrigeration, Bridgeton, MO., and was a long time member of Lakeview Southern Baptist Church, Swansea, Il., a member of the Model A Club, St. Louis, MO., and the IBEW Union.
He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Harmann Jr., and his parents, Joseph & Florence, nee Schanherr, Harmann Sr.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Ina, nee Lawson, Harmann of Troy, Ill., his two children, Cindy (Dan) Hartwig of Collinsville, Ill., and Kevin (Nicole) Harmann of St. Louis, MO., Grandchildren, Erica Hartwig, Sam Harmann, Miles Harmann and one expected grandson on the way. One great-granddaughter, Joscelyn Hartwig; three sisters, Pat (Elmer) Bach, Nancy Casey and Sandy (Ron) Coleman and one brother, Donald (Avanelle) and many nieces, nephews, great-neices, great-nephews and of course three cats, K.B., Joey and Chang II.
