Mr. Zielinski was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean War; he retired after 48 years of dedicated service from General Motors in St. Louis and Wentzville, Mo; member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, Ill., He liked to hunt and fish during his younger years, but most of all he was an avid slot machine player and loved to gamble and watch the St. Louis Cardinals games on t.v.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Stanley & Martha, nee Drzewiecki, Zielinski; and his sister, Victoria Zielinski.
Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years, Maxine, nee Mendell, Zielinski whom he married on September 3, 1963; his son, Max Zielinski and his daughter Allison Zielinski; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
