

Richard was of the Christian faith and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of St. Charles. He served in the Navy during World War II and also in Vietnam where he worked on motors for the Army. He is a member of the American Legion Post 312. Richard loved building Hot Rods and he was once featured in Hot Rod Magazine. He was a founder of Mended Hearts and a member of Gear Jammers in Belleville.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Anna (nee Kriscensky) Burian.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Janet whom he married September, 16, 1947; daughter, Diane (David) Burian-Spatz; son, Kenneth Burian; grandchildren Dustin (Robin) Franke; Dawn; Dana (Jeffrey); Heather (Miguel); Shaun (Elizabeth); Erin (the late Corey); and 26 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, Illinois 62208. Interment will immediately follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens.
