

Wayne enjoyed woodworking and traveling. He retired from Moog Automotive, formerly of Wellston, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Carroll & Buelah Bessie, nee Sheets, O’Brien, two brothers, Donald O’Brien and Michael DeGuire, a foster Father, Frank Ince and a foster Sister, Roberta (Paul) , nee Ince, Wilhite.
Surviving are his loving wife of 51 years, Alice Faye, nee Hunter, O’Brien who he married on August 3, 1960; a son, DeWayne Edward “Ed” O’Brien, a sister, Merilee (Eugene) Niethe, a brother, John Dale (Cathy) Johnson, a foster Mother, Edith Williams, nee Lamb, Ince, foster Sisters, Corine Ince and Georgianna (Eddie Lee) McKee, Brothers-in-Law, Joe (Joyce) Hunter, Albert (Tammy) Hunter and Lonnie (Ruth) Hunter and many loving nieces, nephews and adopted kids.
Per the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill. No funeral services will be held. Interment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
