Mr. Ross was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #480. He also loved to fish, hunt, garden, and play euchre. He will be truly missed by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Ross.
Surviving are his loving wife of 42 years, Gloria Ross, nee Spealman, of Carlyle, Illinois; his mother, Harriet Ilein Ross, nee Pope, of Belleville, Illinois; brothers, Jimmy (Pat) Ross, of Belleville, Illinois and David (Mary) Ross, of Clarksville, Tennessee; a sister, Darling (Jim) Andrews, Freeburg, Illinois; along with many nieces, nephews and longtime family friends, Matt and Sandy Bretz, of Carlyle, Illinois.

Upon the wishes of the family, cremation was to be held.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., December 18, 2011, at the Bretz Wildlife Lodge and Winery, in Carlyle, Illinois.
