Rosalind L. Mack

Rosalind “Roz” L. Mack, 75, of Belleville, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022. She was born on July 29, 1946 in East St. Louis to Robert Joseph and Marguerite (Friesz) Mack. Roz spent over 25 years as a cook and supervisor in the dietary departments of School District #175 and Belleville Memorial Hospital. She also worked at the Belleville Area Humane Society where she fostered many puppies. During the summers, she ran the custard shop at Eckert’s Family Farm where she enjoyed working with young people who often returned for many summers. She was a talented artist who had a passion for sewing, painting and crafting. Rosalind will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Allen (Jennifer) Walker and Vicky (Paul) Holway; grandchildren, Will and Elise Holway; twin brother, Robert Mack; sister, Marilyn Majka; nephew, Tom (Krista) Majka; great-nieces, Aurora and Bellamy Majka. Preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service for Rosalind will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 12:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with visitation from 10:00am until the time of service. Inurnment to follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society.
