Rosmon departed this earthly life on Monday, September 14, 2026, in O'Fallon, Illinois.
Rosmon was baptized at an early age by Reverend George R. Clark at Nazarene Baptist Church where Rosmon later served in the youth ministry choir.
Growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he attended Glen Oaks Senior High School, where he played in the marching band and became drum major in the 12th grade. After graduating high school, he joined the military at age 18.
Rosmon dedicated a remarkable 28-year career to the United States Air Force, where he demonstrated unwavering commitment and service before retiring as Senior Master Sergeant.
Rosmon earned his mechanical and electrical degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Throughout his distinguished military service, Rosmon was recognized with numerous honors for his excellence and dedication. He received the Meritorious Service Medal, adorned with two oak leaf clusters, the Air Force Commendation Medal, also with two oak leaf clusters, and the Air Force Achievement Medal, for which he earned three oak leaf clusters.
After his military career, he devoted eleven impactful years to the St. Louis Public Schools as Facilities Manager, making a difference in the lives of countless students.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Rosmon had a profound love for music, often playing beautiful melodies on his saxophone, which brought joy to those around him for over 30 years.
Rosmon's passions and achievements truly embodied a life lived with purpose and dedication.
Rosmon was preceded in death by his parents, Isabell and "papa" Joe Johnson; his sister, Gloria Donatto; and his two nieces, Atrice and Tonya Donatto.
Rosmon leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Irina Johnson; two great-nieces, Gloria "Tasha" and Chriscynthia Donatto; two great-nephews, Thaddeus and Christopher Donatto; and a host of other great, great nieces, and nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, Illinois. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation.
The committal will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road in Saint Louis, Missouri.
