Ruth Mary Williamson
November 5, 1928 – February 10, 2021
Ruth Mary Williamson, 92, passed away 5:35 PM February 10, 2021 at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital. Ruth was born in East Saint Louis, November 05, 1928.
Ruth loved her family dearly. Her hobbies included puzzles, bingo, fishing, and camping with those she held dear. She enjoyed the beauty of nature.
Ruth worked at Klause Coffee, Sav-Mart Department Store as a manager, and Keeley Asphalt as a secretary and Laborer.
She also was an active member of her community. Being a member of St. Stephens Church, St Ann’s Alter Society and the French Village Fire Department Auxiliary. She loved watching football especially watching her favorite team Notre Dame. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Margret (nee Reidle) Freise; husband Dempsey Williamson; brothers, Otto Freise, Clarence Freise, Louis Freise, Howard Freise; Sisters, Margret Votaw, Viola Freise, Lillian Moreland, Maybelle Wiliamson, Velda Covarrubias; son-in-laws, Stephen Masters and Lonnie Hunter.
Surviving, are her daughters: Ruthie Hunter Debbie Masters, and Bonnie (Mark) Burford; grandchildren, Kimberly, Pamela, Eugene, Mark Jr, Christopher, Kevin; seven great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
