Ruth D. Wright Wood

Ruth worked at First National Bank in East St. Louis, Illinois. She enjoyed bowling and bowled on leagues at St. Clair Bowl. Ruth was an active member of the Liberty Square Retirement Center where she participated in Wii bowling as well as many other games.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond D. Wood, her mother, Noma Latta, nee Knapp, her father, Charles Wright, and her brother, Paul Wright.

Surviving are her children, Sharen (Dawayne) Sanders of Collinsville, Illinois, Karen (Bob Walter) Turpin of Maryville, Illinois, and Diane Dickerson of Hillsboro, Illinois, her grandchildren, Donald (Jennifer) Turpin, Jennifer (Renettia) Turpin, Brian (Arianne) Jamison, Tiffany (Jerico) Witz, and David Dickerson, her great grandchildren, Jacob Turpin and Samantha Witz, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 12 pm, Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Lake View Funeral Home Fairview Heights, Illinois with Rev. Sig Bjorklund officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
