Samuel “The Gunsmith” DeMoro, 78, of Collinsville IL, passed away on Friday May 7th 2021, at Belleville Memorial Hospital of Belleville IL. He was born on Scott Air Force Base of Saint Clair.
Preceding Samuel in death, his father, Saverio DeMoro; his mother, Henrietta DeMoro(nee Steinwagner)
Samuel was known as an excellent gunsmith, whose mechanical talents would overflow into any challenges he set his mind to. He married the love of his life Gay Lynn in 1964 and they shared 57 years together. Sam owned a gun shop in Collinsville Illinois for many years. For the last ten years he was the gunsmith for Belleville Shooting Systems in Belleville Illinois. He was a hardworking and caring person and is remembered for his generosity, kindness and respect he showed to all. He will be remembered as a caring father and a loving grandfather and he will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Surviving Samuel, his loving wife Gay Lynn (nee Smith); children, Bobbie DeMoro - Whitehead, James DeMoro, Nicole Nagel; grandchildren, Bryce, Jesse, Russell, Reagan and his beagle Gunner.
