Sandra Bryant

Sandy’s greatest joy in life was playing with, talking to and talking about her four children, seven grandchildren (Tyler Dascotte, Jessica Dascotte, Andrew (AJ) Dascotte, Nicholas Bryant, Alec Bryant, Noah Bryant and Svanah Martin and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Malikkih. They kept her young and active.

For the past two years, Sandy worked at VNA TIP Home Health, Belleville, Ill., and prior to that she worked for ten years at St. Elizabeth’s Home Health. Sandy loved to help people and received great satisfaction from visiting patients in their homes and sharing stories together.

Sandy was an active member of Winstanley Baptist Church, Fairview Heights, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olus Gerald & Dorothy, nee Bryan, Hodges.

Surviving are her loving husband of 46 years James “Jim” E. Bryant of Belleville, Ill., who she married on June 1, 1965; her children, Dawn Elizabeth (Kelly) Martin of Hopkinsville, KY., James “Jim” E. (Melissa) Bryant Jr., of Rochester, Ill., Rebecca Ann Sheets of Belleville, Ill., and Kenneth Robert Bryant of Largo, FL.

In lieu of flowers, per the family’s request, memorials may be made to Project Build-A-Home, through Winstanley Baptist Church, 9471 W. State Route 161, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Lake View Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Phillips and Rev. Wendell Garrison officiating.

Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
