Shelby Anne Jung

Shelby was born May 23, 1934 in Edmonton-Alberta, Canada to Arthur Martin and Violet Sylvia (Johnson) Richards. She married Darrell Jung on May 28, 1988; he survives and resides in Millstadt, IL.

Also surviving are her children, Kent (Shannon) Ellett of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and Carol (John) Mueller of O’Fallon, IL, Robert (Laura) Jung of Waterloo, IL and Eric (Heidi) Jung of Columbia City, IN; grandchildren, John (Erin) Mueller Jr., Kelly Mueller, Michael (Caroline) Mueller, Matthew (Courtney) Mueller, Ryan Jung, Dylan Jung, Tara Jung, Samantha Ellett, Sarah Dyer; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Shelby was preceded in death by her son, Dean Meyer and her brother, Douglas Richards.

Shelby traveled often and loved to see the beautiful world around her. She loved horses and horseback riding throughout her life. She was an avid shopper, always finding the latest styles and deals.

Shelby was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Shelby will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. - 10:30 A.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

A funeral service will be held following the visitation, at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Final interment to follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to Family Hospice, as a thank you for their care and compassion to Shelby and her family over the last few years.
