Shirley J Dennis

Shirley Jean Dennis, 90, of Waterloo, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 23, 2022. She was born December 27, 1931 in Belleville, Illinois to Raymond and Cleadeth (Abegg) Mank. Shirley married Edwin Lee Dennis Sr. September 29, 1951. She was a member of St. Paul UCC in Waterloo.

Survivors include her children, Edwin Lee (Kathleen) Dennis Jr., Duane (Linda) Dennis, Debra (Jeffrey) Zavadil, Melissa (Michael) Spink; grandchildren, Edwin Lee (Jenny) Dennis III, Michael Dennis, Kevin (Nicole) Dennis, Michelle Dennis, James (Jennifer) Spink, Matthew Dennis; great-grandchildren, Dalton Bodewyn, Levi Bodewyn, Lillian Dennis, Audra Dennis, Gwendolyn Dennis, Kennedy Spink and Olivia Spink; sister-in-law, Barb Mank. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Edwin Lee Dennis Sr.; brother, Raymond Mank and sister and brother-in-law, Nance and Bob Roth.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 11:00 am in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, Illinois with Pastor Jeff McCarn officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul UCC in Waterloo, 200 N. Main St., Waterloo, IL 62298.
