

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Estel and Geraldine (Shasteen) Rosenthal, her husband of 28 years, William Neal Van Hoose, one son, Jeffrey Neal Van Hoose, and her sisters, Brenda (Rosenthal) Van Hoose and Sue (Rosenthal) Whiting.
Shirley is survived by one sister, Sharon (Rosenthal) Webb, two sons, Monty (Lesa) Van Hoose of Shiloh, Illinois and Lee Jay (Ann) Van Hoose of Fairview Heights, Illinois. She is further survived by grandchildren, Ryan Davis, Aurora Van Hoose and Charlotte Van Hoose.
During her lifetime, Shirley was an Accountant, last working at Mercantile Bank before her retirement. Shirley was committed to her church, Generation Church and contributed every opportunity she could. Above all, she was a mother to 3 sons, who from her example learned what it was to have a family and love unconditionally. She will be missed by many, who also thru her example, loves unconditionally.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 30th, 2025, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Graveside Service will follow at 12:45 pm in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
There will be a meal served at Generation Church, 7517 N. Illinois Street, Caseyville, Illinois, 62232, following the graveside service. Please feel free to come and share your memories of Shirley with the family.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, in Shirley's name.
