Sun was born January 21, 1933, in Korea to Ungchin and Ki Suk (Yi) Chang. She married Frederick Boyles in 1965; he preceded her in death in January of 2007.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ungchin and Ki Suk Chang; one brother and one sister.
Sun is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth Mae (Bill) Hibner of Belleville, IL and Rose Anne (Allan) Hogg of Belleville, IL; her beloved granddaughter, Elizabeth Rose; and her two sisters who reside in Korea.
Sun was a devoted and caring wife, mom and grandma. She adored her family and cherished the time she was able to spend with them.
As a young girl she endured life during the Japanese occupation of Korea. Her family land was taken away and she was forced to learn and speak Japanese in school. In later years she worked on the American airbase where she learned to speak English. She worked hard to earn money to support her family and pay for her brother's college education. Her kindness and selflessness were the core of who she was.
Sun was a woman whose heart was devoted to God. She was a lifelong member of the Fellowship Church for over 38 years. As a faithful Christian she committed herself to God's word and lived her life in God's path.
She will be dearly missed.
