Thelma Irene Thompson

Mrs. Thompson loved teaching ceramics, crocheting, and traveling. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, William M. Thompson; her parents, Thomas F. and Olive A., nee Clifford, Hooper; and a brother, John Hooper.

Surviving are her children, Karen (Dennis) Thompson-O’Rourke, of Carlyle, Illinois, Janice (Gary) Risman, of St. Jacob, Illinois, and David (Laura) Thompson, of Collinsville, Illinois; her grandchildren, Brian (Melissa) Riddle, Scott and Steven Riddle, Nadine and Kelsey Risman, Andrew and Alexandra Thompson; five great grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Mary Lee Hooper, of Collinsville, Illinois.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, December 1, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
