

Mr. Renken was a member of Faith Ministries Center in Caseyville, Illinois. He was also a past member of the Caseyville Moose Lodge. He retired from Dow Chemical Company in 1990, after 30 years of service. He was an avid bowler and card player. He also enjoyed the outdoors and tending to his lawn and landscaping. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas H. and May, nee Marler, Renken; two grandchildren, Janette Renken and Jarad Daughtrey; a brother, Richard “Dickie” Renken; a daughter-in-law, Jane Renken; and a sister-in-law, Ethel Renken.
Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Doris Renken, nee Lunsford, of Caseyville, Illinois; his children, Thomas H. Renken, III, of Gainesville, Texas, Debbie (Wayne) Shoemaker, of Boyton Beach, Florida, David (Denise) Renken, of Allen, Texas, Karen (Bob) Davidson, of Caseyville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jana (Mike) Cavanaugh, Jeannie Renken, David (Lisa) Daughtrey, Nathan Renken, Adam Renken, Tammy (James) Gray, and Becky (Cartlin) McCoy; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, a brother, Harry (Maria) Renken,; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral: Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the funeral home, with Rev. Doris Ely officiating. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
