

Viola L. Campbell, nee Bell, 84, of Collinsville, Illinois, born March 30, 1930, in Washington Park, Illinois, passed away, Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at St. Louis University Hospital with family by her side.
Mrs. Campbell went to work at the Switzer Licorice Company in St. Louis, Missouri in November 1947. She worked for 47 years on the candy packing line and was a member of Teamster’s Local 688. She married in the fall of 1953 to Fred Campbell She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and sister, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Cecil, nee Emerson, Bell; husband Fred E Campbell Sr., her granddaughter, Cristy Jones; a brother, Harold Bell; two sisters, Gladys Shoemaker and Alice Schuler; and a son-in-law, Richard Jones.
Surviving are her children, Ronnie Campbell, Barbara Jones, and Fred E. (Dawn) Campbell, Jr., all of Collinsville, Illinois; grandchildren, Brandy (Roy) Duncan, Robert M. Campbell, Scott Jones, Michael Campbell, and Matthew Campbell; her great grandchildren, David, Ginger, Jason, Joseph, Jorden, Prestyn, and Hannah; a brother, Marvin Bell; sisters, Doris (Bill) Smith, Juanita Schroll, and Shirley (John) Wittwer; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff, of the 5th floor ICU at St. Louis University Hospital.

Funeral: Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, December 8, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor Fred Kraemer officiating. Interment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
