Vivian Lurline Rupprecht

Vivian grew up in Caseyville, Ill. She graduated from Collinsville High School. After high school, she did secretarial work for Old Judge Coffee Company and Emerson Electric in St. Louis, Mo. She married Dale Rupprecht on Oct. 25, 1951, at the Union Chapel in Caseyville, Ill. They were married for 47 years before he passed away. They had four children, Alan, Lynn, Arthur and Lisa. Vivian was a homemaker and was a life time member of the Caseyville United Methodist Church, Caseyville, Ill.

Vivian endured great physical pain during her last months. She battled her illness with incredible strength, courage, and grace. She is at peace now in the Lord's Everlasting arms.

We, her children feel truly blessed to have been raised by two loving parents who always put our family first. The bonds of closeness we share today are a result of the nurturing home environment that our parents provided. We will cherish our many memories until the day we see them again in our eternal home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale A. Rupprecht; a son, Alan D. Rupprecht; and her parents, Joseph and Genevieve, nee Evans, Gard.

Surviving are her loving children, Lynn (Robert) Eckert of Freeburg, Ill., Arthur Rupprecht of O'Fallon, Ill., and Lisa Rupprecht of O'Fallon, Ill.; grandchildren, Andrew Eckert of Belleville, Ill., Ryan Eckert of Freeburg, Ill., and Lauren Bobarsky of O'Fallon, Ill.

Memorials may be made to Caseyville United Methodist Church, Caseyville, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill., and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010, at Caseyville United Methodist Church, Caseyville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010, at Caseyville United Methodist Church, 119 W. Lincoln Ave., Caseyville, Ill. 62232, with Pastor Duane Ambrose officiating. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
