Dave was a veteran and proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force then retired from Civil Service after an additional 20+ years. He was the true definition of a servant and loved helping those in need. He impacted many lives through his volunteering and church related activities. He was a member of Gideon’s International and Shiloh United Methodist Church. Dave was an avid fisherman and loved watching sporting events especially those which his children and grandchildren participated in. He was their biggest fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William David Conner, Sr. and Ona Wilson Conner (nee Young).
Surviving are his adoring wife of nearly 56 years, Carol Jean Conner (nee Wert); four children, Michael (Pam) Conner of Wylie, TX, Catherine (Chris) Campbell of Lenexa, KS, Mary Beth (Tom) Krebs of Shiloh, IL, and Daniel (Kim) Conner of O’Fallon, IL; 9 grandchildren, Andrew and Amanda Conner, Chase and Colin Campbell, Kennan and Jeremiah Krebs, and Reid, Tyler, and Megan Conner; and a brother, John Conner of Jacksonville, FL.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 4-8 p.m at Lake View Funeral Home. Service is on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 1 p.m. in the chapel at JB.
