William was born to the late Harold and Leona Pannier on July 18, 1937, in Belleville, Illinois. He was one of seven children born to their union.
William married the love of his life, Sue Ann Pannier, on September 21, 1958.
William was an avid auto racer, diesel mechanic, and a volunteer firefighter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sue Ann, and brother, Ronald Pannier.
William is survived by his children, William (Barb) Pannier, Kristie (Mike) Schmittling, Tina Marie (Kenneth) Hoff, and Michael (Randi) Pannier; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A visitation for William will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Lake View Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 5000 N Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, Illinois 62208.
