William J. Sharp

Mr. Sharp was a former member of Faith Baptist Church in Belleville, Illinois. A soldier for Christ and defender of the Faith, Mr. Sharp was very active in many ways with the church and was always teaching God’s word. He was a blessing to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edna, nee Milligan, Sharp, a son, Bobby O’Connell, a daughter-in-law, Michelle Sharp, nee Mitchell and a great grandchild.

Surviving is wife, Marilyn “Sue” Sharp, nee Taylor, three sons; William “Billy” C. Sharp of Cahokia, Illinois, Joel W. (Tammie) Sharp of Marissa, Illinois, and Tony (Brenda) O’Connell of Dexter, Missouri, 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, a brother, Gerald (Joanne) Schillinger, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Interment will be Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois with Rev. Scott Baker officiating.
