

Mr. Hoefle graduated from Washington University in 1937 with B.A. and L.L.B. degrees, and later his J.D. degree. He passed the Illinois and Missouri Bar Exam in 1937 and practiced law in East St. Louis, Ill. Mr. Hoefle was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. After his military service, he worked for American Mutual Insurance Co., from where he retired in 1978. Mr. Hoefle then practiced law with Kosta and Associates in St. Louis, Mo., until his final retirement in 1998. He was a member of East Lodge 504 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Southern Illinois and Ainad Shrine Temple, Illinois and Missouri Bar Associa-tions, C.P.C.U Society, Delta Theta Chi Fraternity, and local senior citizens organizations. Wilson was an avid hunter, fisherman and he loved animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Laura, nee Schwend, Hoefle; and a sister, Auleria Swager.
Surviving are his wife, Alice, nee Warner, Hoefle, whom he married on Sept. 6, 1936; his three children, Wilson C. Hoefle of Belleville, Ill., Terry (Janet) Hoefle of Shiloh, Ill., and Claudette (Frank) Graetz of Belleville, Ill.; five grandchildren, Matthew (Stacey) Hoefle, T.J. (Jessica) Graetz, Michael Graetz, Christy Hoefle, and Kelly (Tony) Maher; great-grandchildren, Reagen, Loren, Claire, and Samuel; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Upon the family's request services were private. Interment was in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
