I was sorry to hear of the sad news. I worked many St. Vincent De Paul pancake breakfasts with him at St Chris. I knew him for a lot of years, he was one of the very best men I was lucky enough to know. He was such a wonderful man. RIP Al.

We were so sad to just learn of Al's passing.  We reflect on family photos from Al Sr and Flossie's first store on Clark Ave,to the amazing coincidence of Dad and Al's finding each other in Okinawa during WWII.  Please accept the sincere and heartfelt sympathies from the entire Roehl family.

My sincerest condolences to the Wilhelmy family.
Mr. Wilhelmy was the team sponsor of my Rocky River Little League team (Wilhelmy Flowers).  When the team coached by Phil Gibbs (including Albert and Fred Wilhelmy, Ted Gibbs, my brother Carl and I) won the 1960 Rocky River Little League Championship, Mr. Wilhelmy had flowers delivered to all the team member mothers.  In addition, each team member received a silk baseball championship jacket with the Little League Championship logo on the front (with Wilhelmy Flowers stitched on the back) compliments of the sponsor.  This past summer, as my mother was in Fairview Hospital, Mr. Wilhelm again sent flowers. I had the pleasure to stop by the shop this past July and we had a great trip back to the 60s and we shared great memories of the championship run.  Mr. Wilhelmy was a champion and class act.  Wilhelmy Flowers remains a backbone of Rocky River and Cleveland.  The Gandola's send their respects to their teammates and good friends; the Wilhelmy clan on the occasion of Mr. Wilhelmy's passing.

My sincerest condolences to the Wilhelmy family.  So many great memories during the 14 years of working with Al Wilhelmy Flowers.

This guy is the greatest lover to smile. I've called him an ol'fart and he gave me the funny face and he shake my hand and gave the mean face. Just for the joke.
Go in peace and join with your wonderful wife. Look down on us and help us to say well.

This guy is my closest friend. He loves to tease me and I tease him back by calling him and ol' fart and he said watch it and begin to lift his cane and scold at me. Everytime i see him at the shop I shake his hand.

I send my love and sympathy to the entire Wilhelmy family. Mr. W. was my boss for the past twenty years.  But, he was so much more than just a boss; he became a father to me. He was also my mentor and he taught me everything about being a good floral designer.  But most important, he was my dear friend.  We talked all the time and he gave great advice.  He made me feel like 'one of the family'. He was sincere and caring toward all of his employees.  It was a privilege working with him and Mrs. W.  He, Mrs.W and Albert have always been so kind and generous to me and I am so grateful.  Mr. W. was an inspiration to me.  He brought beauty to the world and touched so many people's lives.  I'm going to miss him so much.

So sorry for your loss. He was such a sweet man. I had the pleasure to wait on him when he regularly visited us at Applebees years ago. It truly saddens me to hear of his passing and I hope you find comfort in the many lives he touched.

I saw the name and immediately came to mind the image of the center of Severance and the flower shop...where a young person on an allowance was given the same courtesy and care even if buying just a few daisies.  I remember getting my mother a small pot of assorted houseplants that may even still be living today!  So sorry for you loss...

To the entire Wilhelmy you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Although I only had a short time with your Father - I enjoyed every moment.

To the entire Wilhelmy family. Our Deepest Sympathy goes out to you all. Al,was a wonderful man and I remember my mom telling stories about him when they worked together. He was a pioneer in our industry and certainly someone to be admired. He was as my mother was a true talent. We take for granted in this industry what they went thru. Before all of the inventions that now make our jobs eaiser they did from scratch and no short cuts and prepared works of art. He raised a wonderful family and was a inspriation to future florists because of his involvement in the industry. He will be sorely missed by those whose lives he touched and of course by his family.
RIP Al, I am sure my mom is waiting to share old Floral stories with you. Your entire family is in our prayers.

Whenever I needed flowers I aleays went to the Kamms Corner location.  He and Joan would be there and I would always introduce myself ans Joe, son of Tom the dentist.  That would always be followed by a nice conversation.  God Bless all.

Albert and the entire Wilhelmy family I offer my heartfelt condolences.   I began working with Mr. W. when I was in eigth grade heading into high school.  Mr. W. helped to teach how to work hard but have a good time while you are at working.   I have always felt that Wilhemly Flowers is more of a family than a business and Mr. W. was that father/grandfather figure to us all.  I hope that you all remember the good times that your shared with him to help ease the sorrow of these difficult days.  You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.  One last thing to Mr. W. I say good night and I will see you again!
