Alexander James Day, age 23, of Cleveland, OH passed away unexpectedly on Saturday September 19th from injuries sustained from an auto accident. His sudden departure has left his family and friends heartbroken and shocked.
Born July 7th, 2003, in Cleveland, OH, to Guy and Mary Day. Alex brought undeniable light into the world from the very beginning. He grew up in the West Park Neighborhood of Cleveland and graduated from St. Edwards High School in 2021. He went on to The Ohio State University where he graduated in 2025 from the Fisher College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Accounting. At 23, he was just beginning to forge his own path, he went to work for Ryan, Inc in Tax Law right after he graduated. He had recently started with Cohen and Company in their mergers and acquisitions group.
He was known to all his friends and family as outgoing, kind, and funny. Alex is remembered for always putting others above himself no matter what the situation, his smile, and his endless energy. His presence will truly be missed. Alex enjoyed being outside snow skiing, golfing and just simply going for a run, taking the family dog for a walk, or playing pickleball. Most of all he loved being with friends and family.
Alex is survived by his loving parents, Guy and Mary, his brother William, his grandparents Janet Day, Trudy Day and James & Martha Harris. He loved and was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including his best friend and girlfriend of over five years, Eva Frazetta. He was preceded in death by his grandfather C. Beach Day.
Visiting hours will be on Friday October 2nd from 4pm – 7pm and Saturday, October 3rd from 9am-11am followed by A Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home at 20820 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, Ohio 44126. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to St. Edward High School.
He was taken from us far too soon, but the impression he left on our hearts is permanent.
